W/Furniture and Woodwork was founded by Jamie Walowski, a certified cabinetmaker with over two decades of carpentry, woodwork and boatbuilding experience across Canada.
Jamie leverages deep expertise and community knowledge to create meaningful impact. By expanding into a dedicated workshop and retail space, W/Furniture and Woodwork is laying the groundwork for sustainable long-term growth while advancing innovation and inclusivity in Yellowknife’s woodworking sector.
In the long term, Jamie also seeks to extend reach beyond Yellowknife to serve communities across the Northwest Territories.
By building a recognized hub for woodworking education through public workshops, youth programs, and collaborations with local organizations, W/Furniture and Woodwork aims to inspire the next generation of artisans while setting a standard for sustainable and socially responsible craftsmanship in Northern Canada.
